Janty Milestone

on Tuesday, 20 December 2011. Posted in Product Development

It began with our obsession to provide innovative products and at the same time raising the standards for the e-cigarette community. Each of our products signified a milestone, a reflection of where Janty was, and where we are heading.

Of course the challenges in developing new products were always part of the game, but we learn from it, and we develop it. It is also through learning and inspiration that we carved a growing history of success. Since then Janty have accomplished plenty of breakthroughs in the world of electronic cigarettes.

Janty Dura-C

The Janty Dura is a small stylish e-cigarette which had auto-draw, meaning that when you drew air from the mouthpiece, it activated and created vapor. However a lot of the batteries died from liquid coming into the electronics – and this turned out to be a general problem for all current e-cigarettes. We quickly realized that the e-cigarettes of the time simply needed a button, so the Janty Dura-C was created. The “C” stood for “Control”, and it was simply a Janty Dura, with a push button – something we all now take for granted.

Janty Kissbox 2008

The Kissbox was a swiss armyblade within the e-cigarette community: You could use it with auto-draw, or you could switch out the center piece with another piece, that simply had a button on it. You could charge the batteries via USB, and keep smoking while charging, and a whole bunch of other clever things.

Jantystick 2009

In a typical Janty style, It was completely new and fresh thinking, a small device you could keep in a pocket which used non-expensive, non-proprietary cheap batteries, and could charge while smoking. It was a big hit – so a version 2 and 3 was released shortly after.

Janty eGo 2009/2010

The idea was simple: Create a beautiful e-cigarette that would hold for a day before you had to charge it. The biggest design challenge was how to make it look good and be functional at the same time – We designed a small piece of metal that you would cover the atomizer with – which not only made it look good, but in turn helped heat up the atomizer, regulate airflow and keep any excess liquid inside. In October 2009 the Janty eGo was born – Mik presented the prototype on Youtube and we all know how big of an impact the eGo has had on the e-cigarette Industry.

At the brink of 2012, Janty, with their own privately held and exclusive production in the Philippines is ready to yet again set the standard for the e-cigarette community. And as always we will continue to surprise the world for more.
